PURPOSE:To permit the saving of catalyst without increasing an installation cost, by a method wherein a catalyst tank is used effectively only when the concentration of carbon monoxide or hydrogen in air has exceeded a reference value while the catalyst tank is not used by bypassing it when the concentration of the same is low. CONSTITUTION:The automatic analyzing device 16 of carbon monoxide is provided at the delivery side of a material air compressor 3 and the compressor 3 is operated without employing a catalyst tank 6 by bypassing the catalyst tank 6 through a switching valve 9 and a bypassing conduit 8 when the concentration of carbon monoxide is lower than a reference value. In the case of hydrogen, the similar method may be applied. |
