A unified communication service allows users to unify activities across different interfaces. A user may register and configure the service to receive various combinations of communication services provided by the unified communication service. A unified communication service stores and manages a user's contacts. A user's contact may be assigned to a contact group including contacts of the same type. The user may also create, edit, or manage a contact group including a set of contacts and the associated contact group settings. A unified communication service manages different types of communication services (e.g., calls, SMS, MMS, voicemails, etc.) based on the contacts. The unified communication service allows a user to configure and manage different billing policies and determine costs of various communications. In addition, a unified communication interface may allow integration with business software or interfaces such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems. |
