PURPOSE:To minimize risks of damage to a resistor and improve printing quality by adjusting the TCR factor of the resistance value of a resistor in such a manner that the temperature of the center section of a heat-generating area is high and that of the peripheral section of the heat-generating area is the lowest. CONSTITUTION:A common electrode 3 and discrete electrodes 4 are formed on an insulative substrate 2. A thermal resistor 5 is formed on the comb tooth section 3a of the common electrode and the tips 4a of the discrete electrodes. Then the dependence upon temperature of the resistor 5 is adjusted so that, for instance, the TCR factor of a resistance value is the lowest at approximately 100 deg.C. This adjustment depends upon the amount of a TCR correction agent to be added to the paste which becomes a resistor 5 through baking. If a voltage is applied between the common electrode 5 and the discrete electrodes 4, a heat-generating area 6 generates heat, and the thermal efficiency on the periph eral section of the heat-generating area 6 at low temperature (approx. 100 deg.C) becomes high. Consequently, the temperatured of the center section of the heat- generating area becomes lower than usual, and the risks of damage to the resistor 5 are minimized to improve printing quality. |
