PURPOSE:To improve the current chopping characteristic and restriking characteristic and allow manufacture in the industrial scale by sticking or coating the preset quantity of In or/and Sn on the surface of the arc-resistant component powder of a mixed powder compact and sintering the compact. CONSTITUTION:The mixed powder made of the arc-resistant component powder 50-100wt.% and the remainder of conducting powder is molded. The above compact is mounted in a sintering container together with In or/and Sn as a wettability improving component, for example, they are heated together with the container, In or/and Sn is coated and sintered on the surface of the compact to manufacture a skeleton. In or/and Sn 0.05-3wt.% is added. In or/and Sn is stuck or coated and sintered at the temperature of 600-1100 deg.C in case of only the arc-resistant component. In case of the mixed powder of the arc- resistant component and the conducting component, it is processed at the melting temperature or below of the conducting component and at the temperature of 600 deg.C or above. The conducting component is then infiltrated into voids in the skeleton at the melting temperature or above of the conducting component and at the temperature range of 1200 deg.C or below. |
