PURPOSE:To improve the roughness maintainability and to prevent generating flaws by applying surface coating using a cermet material of a specified compsn. CONSTITUTION:The cermet material consisting 60-95 weight % of one or ore two kinds of WC, Cr2C2, TiC and the balance one or two sorts of Co, Ni, Cr are used. WC, Cr3C2, TiC in the composition are the important components to constitute the superior wear resistant cermet coating and Co, Ni, Cr serve as binders to give the toughness for the coating. Therefore, by coating the surface with these materials, the rolling work roll excellent in the wear resistance is obtained and its service time is enabled extending. |
