The present invention relates to the technical field of electrochemical storage batteries, and particularly relates to a copper alkaline storage battery. A copper alkaline storage battery comprises a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, a separator plate, an electrolyte, a casing and binding posts. The positive and negative electrode plates are core components forming the storage battery. The material of the positive electrode plate is oxidized porous copper, the negative electrode plate uses a copper alloy as a matrix, and the positive and negative electrode plates form an electrode plate set. The porous separator plate for the storage battery is provided between the positive and negative electrode plates, the separator plate is an electrical insulator, the electrolyte is an alkaline electrolyte, the housing has an integral structure, and a horizontal plate of the housing is welded with the binding posts. The thickness of the negative electrode plate is 30-10,000 μm. The present invention has a simple manufacturing process. In addition, the battery in the present invention has a large capacity, high reliability, low cost and long service life, and is highly valuable for recycling, environmentally friendly, pollution free and widely applicable to the technical field of electrochemical storage batteries. |
