INSULATING PANEL OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The composite insulation panel is partic. intended for use as a load bearing roofing element. It comprises a plastic foam, pref. polyurethane, core contg. a reinforcing structure sandwiched between (thin, e.g. 15-20 mm) plates on expanded perlite basis. (At least 5% expanded perlite with organic and/or inorganic fibres and bonding agents). The reinforcement may comprise steel or plastic mesh and parallel members each connecting parallel longitudinal bars which are in turn connected to the lower and upper mesh. The panel may have tongue and groove edges.
