PURPOSE:To obtain powder cosmetic having excellent spread, adhesivity, no powder floating after application to the skin, no drying feeling, no loosening feeling of hair and good total finish, containing porous spherical cellulose powder coated or impregnated with a moisture retaining polymer substance or linked to the substance by chemical bond. CONSTITUTION:A powder cosmetic containing porous spherical cellulose powder coated or impregnated with a moisture retaining polymer substance or linked to the substance by chemical bond and having 3-50mum average particle diameter and 100mum maximum particle diameter. Hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfuric acid, collagen, elastin, etc., are preferable as the moisture retaining polymer substance. Porous spherical cellulose powder is immersed in a solution of the moisture retaining polymer substance while stirring or both the powders are mechanically mixed and the surface of the cellulose is coated or the polymer powder is pushed into pores of cellulose or both the powders are chemically bonded by OH group of cellulose to provide the cellulose powder with new functional group. |
