A beam refinement method. The beam refinement method comprises: an access point receives beam refinement protocol (BRP) frames, each BRP frame carrying multiple transmit training domains sent by using different transmit beams, so that multiple stations receiving the BRP frames receive and measure the receive signal quality of the transmit training domains sent by using different beams; the access point sends a polling frame to each of the multiple stations, the polling frame being used for acquiring the measurement result of the station on the receive signal quality; and the access point acquires a target transmit beam corresponding to a target transmit training domain, the receive signal quality of which is optimal, of the station according to the measurement result returned by each station, and determines the target transmit beam as an optimal transmit beam of the access point sending data to the station. By using the present invention, optimal transmit beams of an access point for multiple stations can be refined by sending BRP frames in one time, and the refinement efficiency is high. |
