PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a special treatment just before repair and to shorten the time for baking by forming the above material of kneaded powder consisting of a specific ratio of a refractory material adjusted in grain size and compds. contg. a specific ratio of water of crystallization. CONSTITUTION:This powder baking repair material is prepd. by adding 10-60 pts.wt. >=1 kinds of compds. contg. >=30wt.% water of crystallization to 40-90 pts.wt. refractory material adjusted in grain size. The amt. of the compds. to be added needs be increased and the problems such as degradation of corrosion resistance arise if the ratio of the water of crystallization contained in the compds. contg. the water of crystallization is below 30%. Such ratio is, therefore, undesirable. The compds. contg. the water of crystallization preferably release 5-40wt.% water per 100 pts.wt. above-mentioned refractory compsn. before heating up to 100 deg.C. This baking repair material does not require formation of slurry before the furnace and allows baking in a short period of time. |
