The invention relates to a device for decorating containers having a plate cylinder with a full-area or partial-area printing plate, or a printing plate with a partial raster, and a blanket cylinder which carries a plurality of rubber blankets so as to follow one another in the circumferential direction thereof. The blanket cylinder is arranged with respect to the plate cylinder in such a way that the rubber blankets are in rolling engagement with the plate cylinder. The rubber blankets are provided with raster images which are formed by elevated raster dots of various diameter and depressed regions which lie in between. The raster dots are arranged along a regular raster. During operation, the raster dots take up ink from the surface region of the printing plate and deposit it in turn onto a container to be decorated. According to the invention, the rasters, in which the raster dots of the raster images are arranged on rubber blankets which follow one another, are offset relative to one another by a raster angle which is greater than 0°. |
