发明名称 PRODUCTION OF INORGANIC BOARD
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title board with mechanical strength comparable to the case with asbestos blending by blending both cement and aggregate with a homogeneous mixture comprising pulp finer and water-glass and molding a board material from the resultant blend through dry process followed by curing said board material. CONSTITUTION:5-20wt.% of water-glass is added to unit weight of pulp fiber followed by homogeneous mixing, and the resultant mixture is blended with each regulated amount, based on the amount of the pulp fiber in said mixture, of cement and aggregate. Thence, the resultant blend is molded, through dry process, into a board material which is then cured to obtain the objective inorganic board material. The water-glass-impregnated pulp fiber is improved in adhesivity to cement matrix with said water-glass on the surface acting on the interface between said matrix and fiber and also serves so as to suppress the spring back phenomenon of said fiber. For the amount of said water-glass to be added, of <5wt.%, adequate adhesivity will not be attained; on the other hand, if >20wt.%, too much glass component relative to the pulp fiber will suppress the reinforcing ability of said fiber.
