<p>PURPOSE:To make detection with high sensitivity by directly measuring enzyme reaction heat. CONSTITUTION:This sensor is formed by fixing a temp. measuring platinum resistor 2 to a hydrophobic support 1 and coating the surface with the same material as the material of the support 1 in the form of a thin film, thereby forming a thin film carrier 3. A sample soln. is introduced together with a buffer soln. into the sensor from an inlet part 4 and is brought into contact with the enzyme immobilized to the carrier 3. The enzyme reaction heat generated in such a manner is directly measured by the resistor 2, by which the substrate of the sample soln. is detected. The measurement is possible because of such construction, even if such a component as to clog the column exists in the sample soln. Since the support 1 fixing the resistor 2 is easily attachable and detachable, dealing with the various substrates is possible by preparing the supports 1 immobilized with the various enzymes and selecting the same at need. The enzyme can be easily regenerated when the activity thereof degrades.</p> |
