<p>PURPOSE: To compose the same joint as a natural one by binding and coupling joints of the first hinge member connecting the first rod insertable to an empty part of a femur and the second hinge member connecting to the second rod insertable to a tibia bone hole with a bearing. CONSTITUTION: An artificial joint is a knee joint having a first hinge member 3 connected to an end of a first rod 1 opposite to the end inserted into an empty part of a femur and a second hinge member 4 connected to an end of a second rod 2 opposite to the end inserted into a tibia hole, and the joint connection between two hinge materials 3, 4 is made with a bearing 5. Two rods 3, 4 inserted into each bone and fastened with cement or screws are shaped and/or burred so as to create an easy and persistent joint for bones. The joint between each rod and each hinge member is fastened or made to be removable. Thus, walking is possible without any trouble.</p> |
