The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for bending corrugated sheet transversely to the corrugations. According to the method the crests of the sheet corrugations are clamped against a matrix in an edge bending press or similar device by means of a specially designed press foot 2, following which a bending indicator line or line of weakness is impressed in the form of a depression in the crests of the corrugations by means of a bar, straight edge or rail 1. The bending or weakening line allows the sheet to then be easily bent to a desired angle over the edge of a workbench or a corresponding support surface.
