PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the leakage of lubrication oil through a cylinder head cover by communicating a seal groove extended over the entire periphery of the cylinder head cover, with an intake port or the suction side of a lubrication oil pump. CONSTITUTION:A seal groove 15 is gouged in the lower surface of a gasket 13, extending over the entire periphery of a cylinder head cover 7. Meanwhile, a communication hole 16 communicating between at least one intake port 3 and the seal groove 5 is formed in a cylinder head 2. With this arrangement, a negative pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure at the intake port 3 is effected in the seal groove 15 through the communication hole 16, that is, the negative pressure allows the gasket 3 to make strongly contact in its entirety with the upper surface 2a of the cylinder head. Thereby it is possible to surely reduce the leakage of lubrication oil through the cylinder head cover 7 without strongly fastening the cylinder head cover 7. |
