PURPOSE:To improve the thermal crack resistance characteristic due to inorganic fiber by using the Al alloy containing Si by a specific rate in the basic material of the composite-reinfored part, in the heat-resistive member in which the part which is applied with a thermal load partially is composite-reinforced by inorganic fibers. CONSTITUTION:In a piston 7 which is made of the heat-resistive material, e.g., Al alloy, the part 7c which locally receives a thermal load is composite- reinforced by inorganic fibers. In this case, the basic material of the part 7c of the piston 7 which is composite-reinforced consists of the Al alloy containing Si in 1-7%. The volume rate of the inorganic fibers in the composite-reinforced part 7c is set to 5-25%. Further, Cu, Ni, and Mg of the alloy element in the Al basic material in the composite-reinforced part 7c is each 1% or less, Fe and Mg as impurity is each 0.5% or less, and other impurity is 0.3% or less. While, in manufacture, the composite material which is shaped separatedly previously is padding-welded onto the Al basic member, and the composite reinforced part 7c is formed. |
