The apparatus for metering liquids represents a modified classical two-way cock, the cone 2 of the two-way cock being designed with two tangential grooves 13 and 14 on the outside in the middle of its height. The length of each groove is 1/4 of the cone circumference 2. Two collecting containers 3 and 4 are accommodated on the upper end face of the housing 1. Each collecting container is designed with a shut-off element 15, 16 and 17 so that, on each rotation of the cone 2 through 90@, to and fro, one of the collecting containers 3 and 4 is spatially connected, alternately and simultaneously, via one of channels 7 and 8 and via one of the grooves 13 and 14 to the supply pipe 21 and the discharge pipe 20, and by this means, one of two collecting containers 3 and 4 is filled and the other emptied, simultaneously and alternately. <IMAGE>
