PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic water faucet capable of preventing damage of a sensor or a sensing defect of the sensor even when a corrosion product is generated, in the automatic water faucet in which the sensor and a spout member are disposed within a distal end portion of a spout pipe.SOLUTION: In an automatic water faucet 1, a spout member 30 and a sensor 40 are provided within a distal end portion 12 of a spout pipe 10, and water is spouted from the spout member 30 in accordance with detection of a detection object by the sensor 40. In the automatic water faucet 1, the sensor 40 includes a light-emitting element 41, a light-receiving element 42 and an electronic substrate 43, and the spout pipe 10 is formed from a zinc alloy. A protection member 50 separate from the spout pipe 10 is disposed within the distal end portion 12 of the spout pipe 10, and the protection member 50 covers a side face of the sensor 40 over the full circumference of the distal end portion 12 in the circumferential direction between an inner circumferential surface of the distal end portion 12 of the spout pipe 10 and the sensor 40. |
