PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for evaluating peripheral neuropathy by easily measuring a sensation threshold of human skin with high reproducibility.SOLUTION: A skin sensation evaluating device comprises: a probe 4 that applies a moving stimulus; and a probe driving structure 3 that operates the probe 4 so as to move. The device also comprises: an input switch that is operated by a subject having recognized the moving stimulus; a drive control unit that controls a drive status of the probe driving structure 3; and a main control unit that evaluates a measured sensation threshold. The main control unit preliminarily stores: reference data for a known sensation thresholds at the time of applying the moving stimulus to human skin; and an age correction factor that is calculated from a standard value for the sensation thresholds based on a difference in generation among patients. The drive control unit uses the reference data and the age correction factor to control the drive status of the probe drive structure 3, and then executes a first stimulus application state. The drive control unit also sequentially executes a second stimulus application state and a third stimulus application state, and then measures the sensation threshold. |
