PURPOSE:To improve the compressing efficiency of transmission/reception data and to attain facsimile communication effectively, by compressing the transmission data read in a reading section, storing it in a storage section directly, reading out the data and giving it to a data compressing and reproduction section of a main body. CONSTITUTION:The transmission data read at an original reading section 1 of a facsimile main body A is compressed at a data compressing and reproducing section 7 of a data storage device, B, and the data is stored in the data storage section directly. In transmitting the stored data to a device of remote location, a switch S1 is changed over to the b-contact, the data in the storage section 6 is reproduced at the reproducing section 7, and aplied to a data reproducing and compressing section of the main body A, where data compression suitable to the device of the remote station is performed. The data is transmitted to the device of remote location via a modulation and demodulation section 4 and a network controlling section 5. In storing the transmission data from the remote device in a picture recording section 2, switches S1, S2, the main body A and the storage device B are used, to improve the compressing rate of transmission and reception data. |
