An eliminator plate is specified which is intended, in particular, for wet cooling towers or similar systems used in process engineering, in which eliminator plate there are formed zig zag shaped passage ducts of profile parts in which the exhaust air from the inflow side to the outflow side of the eliminator plate has its direction of flow changed several times. The profile parts delimiting (bounding) these passage ducts are profiled in such a way that, starting from the inflow side of the eliminator plate, the exhaust air flow is multiply deflected on both sides with respect to the middle axis of the passage ducts, which extends through the inflow side and the outflow side. It is preferable to provide dripping edges on the inflow side and the outflow side of the eliminator plate. Provided on the profile parts are separate, vertically extending dropping shafts for the separated water drops, which serve simultaneously as profile spacing elements. The eliminator plate can be produced from plastics of various qualities or from metal sheets by means of deep drawing.
