PURPOSE:To automatically produce a fixed pseudo fault as well as the intermittent pseudo faults by setting a pseudo fault code to a pseudo fault generating means of a processor via a pseudo fault setting means of a diagnosing device and producing a pseudo fault. CONSTITUTION:If a mode flag (A)40 of a diagnosing device 4 is set while a pseudo fault is being set together with a mode flag (B)41 set in a fixed pseudo fault mode, a pseudo fault setting means 45 sets again a pseudo fault code to a pseudo fault generating means 30 of a processor 3 during execution of a test program of the processor 3. Thus a fixed pseudo fault is apparently produced. If the flag (A)40 is set while a pseudo fault is being set together with the flag (B)41 set in an intermittent pseudo fault mode, the intermittent pseudo faults are produced since no pseudo fault is produced during execution of a test program of the processor 3. No pseudo fault is produced in a normal system operation state as long as the flag (A)40 is kept in a normal state. |
