PURPOSE:To prevent the disturbance of the peripheral devices which are controlled by an input/output processor by releasing actually the input/output processor to be released when a prescribed time passes after the processor is reported to an operating system and at the same time inhibiting the input/output requests after the processor is reported to the operating system. CONSTITUTION:An operating system 2 checks the bit corresponding to an input/ output processor which is ready to perform the input/output operations at an input/output request and has an input/output request when the bit is not turned on. When the bit is turned on, the bit corresponding to another input/output processor is checked. Then an input/output request is produced when the bit is not turned on. A RAS processor 3 turns on the bit corresponding to an input/ output device 5 via a report means 31 to secure an input/output request unacceptable state when the device 5 is released from the system 2 in response to a command given from an operator. Then the device 5 itself is kept waiting before a timer means 32 detects the lapse of a prescribed time. When this waiting state is released, the device 5 is released from a system controller 4 via release means 33. |
