PURPOSE: To improve processing efficiency from the hygienic point of view and at low cost by first burning lightweight foreign matter mixed in food to be transported and then dropping a waste material from a mesh, using an air slide conveyor which ejects a compressed air through the mesh from below a sieve-type transport member. CONSTITUTION: Food 22 to be fed from the terminal part 21 of a constant quantity feeder is first introduced into a receiving hopper 1, and drops to and stacks on a net 23 which forms the bottom surface of a sieve-type transport member 10. Next, the food 22 is transported by a pulsating air current ejected, through the net 23, from an uppermost current 2a among other currents from a group of compressed air jet pipes. In this case, a sequence of air slide motions such as the floating, movement and dropping of the food 22 are taken over by a pulsating air ejection pipe 20 from a pulsating air ejection pipe 2a. On the other hand, lightweight foreign matter entrained in the food 22 is burned out by a heat emitted by a cluster of heaters 3. After that, the food 22 drops through a tip chute 4 and is transported to a next step by a belt conveyor 25. In addition, a waste material 24 slides down the gradient part of a waste material receiving hopper 14 and stacks in a screw feeder 15 part. |
