PURPOSE:To cool and remove the generated heat, and to improve current density by coating superconducting filaments with an electrical insulating film for which a heat good conducting film is coated on the surface of an ultra-fine multi-core wire that is arranged in a base metal. CONSTITUTION:For a superconducting wire 100, the surface of an ultra-fine multi-core wire 10 in which superconducting filaments 2 are arranged on a base metal 1 of such as copper or copper-tin alloy, is covered with a single-layer film of an electrical insulating film 3 on which a heat good conducting film 4 such as copper, silver, or diamond is coated. By coating the film 4 on the film 3, though the generated heat on the superconducting wire 100 is rapidly conducted electrically along the circumference or in a longitudinal direction, the heat directed to the center of the wire, with the electrical insulating film 3 on its way, hardly reach the filament 2. The generated heat is thus cooled and removed, and current density is improved. |
