The invention relates to beverage dispensers of the type which proportionally mixes syrup and water. The problem associated with these types of dispensers is that variations in fluid pressure and viscosity can vary which results in an incorrect proportion mix of the fluids. The flow of syrup and water is sensed by first and second flowmeters (71, 72) respectively. One of the flowmeters is a viscosity insensitive flowmeter. A control (21) receives signals from the flowmeters (71, 72) and controls solenoid operated metering pins (40, 41) in the respective fluid flows downstream of the flowmeters to ensure a precisely prescribed relative proportion of syrup and water. |
