The drawing board has a straight edge (6.1) with transverse ridges (8) at each end which run in guide grooves in the side edges of the drawing board. The straight edge (6.1) is clamped in the required position by L-shaped clamps (11) which are held in the clamping position by means of compression springs (18). These clamps (11) can be released by means of an inverted. U-sectionm which can be rocked about the curved edge (21) of one of its flanges.
