The hydraulic booster is for a slide-control vehicle braking system. It has a return cavity (3) between the booster piston (1) and the actuation piston (2). A channel (5) is provided in the booster piston which has a throttle body (6) to regulate the reset characteristic of the actuation piston, and a tapered recess (10) to reduce the sliding surface guide to a min.
