A cable guide for electrical installations has a plate of elastomer or thermoplastic that is formed as a cover that locates over an opening in the wall. The edges of the cover are reinforced by a metal insert (3). Different sized sections (10) are formed as locations for possible points to lead through cables. Each section has a dome shape (14) with a thin walled section. The sections can be easily cut away for passage of the cable. ADVANTAGE - Simple means of passing cable through housing wall.
