<p>PURPOSE: To form the termination of a single-core or two-core flat power cable and to securely establish electrical connection in such a manner as to maintain air tightness, heat and earthquake resistance for a long period by a method wherein the flat cable and the other member are superposed to be bored, and a conductive insertion member having low resistance is inserted into the bore, and a projection of the insertion member is staked. CONSTITUTION: A termination 10 of a two-core flat power cable 12 is illustrated, and adapter parts 20 are terminated for each of two conductors 14. The adapter part 20 piercing through a hole punched in the cable is terminated for the cable 12 by using a pair of inserts 22 piercingly extending through an upper support member 24 and a lower support member 26. A pair of terminals 28 capable of being fitted to each of the adapter parts 20 are provided with spring arm contact parts 30 and 32, and are also provided with an array of a post 34, which can be inserted into the corresponding array of a plated through hole 36. The adapter part as shown by a termination 50 can be optionally used together with a single-core flat power cable 52.</p> |
