PURPOSE:To obtain L-Try useful as a feed additive, etc., L-Tyr useful as a medicine or L-Phe useful in food industry, etc., on an industrial scale at a low cost by culturing a specific microorganism belonging to a coryne-form strain capable of producing glutamic acid. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism belonging to coryne-form strain capable of producing glutamic acid, having lowered or depleted phosphoenol pyruvic acid carboxylase activity and pyruvic acid kinase activity and capable of producing L-Try, L-Tyr or L-Phe is cultured in a medium and the produced and accumulated objective compound consisting of L-Try, L-Tyr or L-Phe is separated from the system. The microorganism is e.g. Try-producing Corynebacterium glutamicum K81 (FERM BP-2409). |
