Device for estimating the general behaviour of a group of persons, each person being the driver of a moving body. The invention relates to a device allowing to estimate comparatively the behaviours by measuring the average speeds of a same group or more generally of different groups in one location or at different locations. The device is comprised of a casing (1) concealable inside an enveloppe (2) including on the one hand a display unit (3) programmable by the threshold of the selected speed and on the other hand two meters (4 and 5), one indicating the number of moving bodies exceeding the threshold value and the other one indicating the total number of moving bodies. The components are a Doppler sensor (6) or the like, an amplification stage (7), a logic stage (8) for the control of the meters, one or a plurality of batteries (9). The invention relates to two methods, one for counting and displaying, the other one for visualizing and storing. The invention relates to fields for applying the device and methods to the measurement of average speeds of road users in relation to traffic security, to the measurement of average speeds of athlets with or without mechanical equipment in relation with sport events, and to the measurement of instantaneous speeds, of lengths of the bodies and to their classification in relation to rolling bodies on roads. |
