<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the propagation of oral microorganisms and to prevent the generation of the damage of a dental prosthesis and bad breath by incorporating an antibacterial material into the dental prosthesis or applying the antibacterial material on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The antibacterial material is incorporated into the dental prosthesis 1 and the resin tooth 3 of the dental prosthesis 2. The impregnation of the antibacterial material into the resin tooth 3 consisting of an acrylic resin is executed by compounding the antibacterial material into acrylic acid monomer (liquid) and polymerizing this acrylic acid monomer and a prepolymer within a tooth mold for molding the resin tooth, then solidifying the same to produce the resin tooth 3. The antibacterial material in the resin tooth 3 bleeds out little by little from the inside to the outside by the friction generated at the time of the bite of the resin tooth 3 and the other tooth or tooth brushing if the dental prostheses 1, 2 formed by using the resin tooth 3 are mounted in the mouth. An antibacterial material layer 6 is formed by applying the antibacterial material on the surface of an artificial crown 5 it the crown is made of ceramics. The antibacterial material is housed into a microcapsule 7 or the inorg. antibacterial material is used and is compounded with a liquid contg. a silicone resin as a binder, then such liquid is applied on the surface of the artificial crown 5.</p> |
