<p>A carrying frame for mounting on the bottom of aeration tanks, for example in sewage treatment plants, for example for sewage, possesses dispersing members 4 for dispersing an aeration medium, which dispersing members are arranged for connection to a source for the supply of air under pressure, such that the air is dispersed in the liquid which is contained in the tank. The carrying frame is arranged so that it can be taken up out of the tank, for example for cleaning or for replacing the dispersing members 4. The carrying frame is designed as an airtight, closable hollow body 7 which carries the dispersing members 4 together with their supply lines 8 and which is dimensioned such that, in the empty state, it can float, together with the dispersing members 4, on the surface of the liquid which is present in the tank and which is to be aerated.
