The first subject of the invention is a method for employing a prefabricated element intended for the construction of concrete walls by juxtaposition and/or superposition of similar elements, the said element being according to that described in a patent FR-2,589,509, characterised in that, opposite the opening (16) of a horizontal joint, a boarding flap (22) is fastened along the lower edge (19) of the opening, along the entire length of the latter, and in that concrete or a similar material is poured over the upper rim (2) of the flap. Its second subject is an element permitting implementation of the abovementioned method, characterised in that the said edge to which the flap is fastened consists of the rim (19) of an overlay (18) devoid of wedging studs. <IMAGE>
