a touch panel display; and at least one processor coupled with the touch panel display that, during a locked state in which performance of at least one function in response to a touch operation on the touch panel display is restricted,
displays a first object on the touch panel display,detects the touch operation on the first object,after detecting the touch operation on the first object, displays a part of information related to a received email on the touch panel display, and,when the touch operation comprises a touch to the first object, followed by a movement in a direction towards a second object that is associated with the part of information related to the received email, followed by a release of the touch operation,
cancels the locked state, anddisplays the received email on the touch panel display.
