摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent heating of a light emitting device and hence accurately measure luminous power from the light emitting device by providing a mesh-shaped fourth metal electrode on the detection surface of the device, supplying an operating current to the device through the fourth electrode, and guiding the light emitted from the device to a photodetector, CONSTITUTION:There are provided third and fourth electrodes 14, 16 brought respectively into contact with first and second electrodes 12, 13 of a semiconductor light emitting device 11 and supplying an operating current to the device 11, and a photodetector element 15 including the fourth electrode 16 disposed on its photodetection surface and detecting the light emitted from the light emitting device 11. The fourth electrode 16 comprises mesh-shaped metal. An operating current is supplied to the light emitting device 11 via the fourth electrode 16 and the light emitted from the light emitting device 11 is guided to the light emitting device 15. Further, an output power measurement circuit 19 is connected to the photodector element 15 via a power supply 18 for measuring the output power from the light emitting device 11. Hereby, heating of the light emitting device 11 is prevented to permit the luminous power from the light emitting device 11 to be accurately measured.
