PURPOSE:To enlarge the contraction limit of a web height and to obtain a product of a stabilized quality by using a material preformed so that one part of the side face of a horizontal roll and a rolled stock are brought into contact at the part more than the specific rate of the contact length of the rolled stock and vertical roll. CONSTITUTION:In the hot state manufacturing stage of an H-shape steel, a material preformed so that one part of the horizontal roll H side face and a rolled stock 1 are brought into contact with each other at the part of more than the specific rate of the contact length of the rolled stock 1 and V roll is used. It is rolled at an intermediate rolling (U1, E1) stage after rough rolling it in a beam blank by a breakdown mill. In succession a web height contraction rolling is executed by using a UF mill having a variable width horizontal roll. Consequently the web buckling is not generated and a good product can be manufactured. |
