The needle plunger's movement path (A) contains flat-formed contacts (11, 12), with hooks (14) arranged to resist withdrawal of the plunger, such that when the firing pin (9) is withdrawn to release the driving spring (7) which pushes the cap (6), thus driving the plunger between the hooks (14) which hold it securely on opposite sides, aided by rough rifling on the surface (17) of the plunger, while it closes the circuit (15) by bridging the contacts (11, 12) and further reaches the initiating element (2). The circuit (15) causes a visible signal from the device (17) which can be observed from the ground, while a second signal is caused by the striking of the initiating element (2).
