摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically detect the position of a target by detecting only the receiving video signal of a small area such as an airplane, by handling a receiving video signal as a two-dimensional image and measuring the position of the target at every region. CONSTITUTION:The receiving video signal to searching radar is binarized by a binarization circuit 23 and a region number is imparted to the binary video signal by a region number imparting circuit 25. An area (the number of picture elements) is measured at every region number by an area measuring circuit 28 and the brightest position of a picture element at every region number of the circuit 25 is detected by a brightest point detection circuit 27. Next, corresponding to the area at every delay region number signal obtained by delaying the region number signal of the circuit 25 by a delay circuit 29, a target judge circuit 33 judges that the brightest point position of the circuit 27 is effective or invalid and the effective brightest point position is outputted as a target position signal. By this method, the clutter of a mountain or building is suppressed and the spot target such as an airplane can be automatically detected.</p>
