An implant for medical appln. is based on a composite comprising a triazine resin as duroplast matrix, reinforced with C fibres, and contg. 5-20 wt.% of Al2O3. USE/ADVANTAGE - The implant is used for endoprotheses, esp. artificial ball-and-socket joints, e.g. knee joints (claimed), and for hip joints and implantable support or connecting units. Abrasion is considerably reduced, and hardness and pressure strength are raised.
