The invention relates to a disc brake comprising a yoke (5), a sliding caliper (3) and an operating mechanism, which last comprises a mechanism (19) employing a wedge which can be moved longitudinally between the calliper (3) and a piston to move them apart from each other, under the action of a pushing member (21) itself moved by the push rod (25) of a control means (23).
