PURPOSE:To form a printing image excellent in resolving power, scratch resistance and solvent resistance by providing a heat-softenable colorant layer on a support through a heat-softenable release layer containing amide wax. CONSTITUTION:A heat-softenable colorant layer is provided on a support through a heat-softenable release layer and the heat-softenable release layer contains amide wax. As the material of the support, plain paper or a metal sheet such as an aluminum foil is pref. used and the thickness of the support is usually 30 mum or less, pref., 2 - 6 mum. When the thickness of the support exceeds 30 mum, heat conductivity is deteriorated and the lowering of printing quality is brought about according to circumstances. Amide wax contains an amide bond (-CO-NH-) in one molecule thereof and the wt. average MW (Mw) is usually 200 - 20000, pref., 300 - 3000 and the m.p. thereof is usually 50 - 160 deg.C, pref., 60 - 150 deg.C. |
