PURPOSE:To inhibit elution of Pt into molten ferrite and increase breaking strength of the subject crucible by forming the crucible with a composite material using an oxide-dispersing type Pt-reinforced material as inside and Pt as outside. CONSTITUTION:The objective crucible for growing of a ferrite single crystal is formed as a composite material composed of, e.g., an oxidedispersing type Pt-reinforced material in which Zr is dispersed in Pt as inside and Pt as outside. Oozing out of molten ferrite to outside is inhibited by using said crucible as Pt crystalline granule in the oxide-dispersed Pt-reinforced material is fine and also Pt crystalline granule in the outside is fine. Then, elution of Pt into the melt or the molten ferrite is slight, thus a ferrite single crystal having high purity is obtained. |
