In a powder metallurgical plant, the plant is cleaned between runs in a system in which soluble particles are separated out by an arrangement of a filter housing with a partition from which a bag-type filter element is suspended. Under the partition is an inlet for a particle-laden gas stream and a wash fluid nozzle forming a ring round the element is directed at the element. At the bottom of the housing is an outlet for deposited particles and a further outler for wash fluid. Above the partition is an outlet for cleaned gas. Filter element is folded in a star shape.
