The special transport vehicle comprises a U-section semitrailer chassis, open to the rear, and rigid, longitudinal beams for an internal loading mechanism. The beams are situated between wheels lowered by air bellows, and are of angular section for the loaded frames or pallets, secured by top fasteners. The fasteners (18) are situated at intervals along the longitudinal beams (19) and have vertical pressure plates (20) movable horizontally against and away from the load (10, 11). In addition, locking devices acting between the support portions (12) of the beams keep them parallel, as the pallets or frames rest on them.
