<p>PURPOSE:To enable the assembling processes to be automated by a method wherein a case is connected to a hoop material by a pair of joints and then the first connection part is cut off in the final stage wherein an insulating substrate and a sleeve is fixed to the axle part of the second terminal. CONSTITUTION:The axle pert 8 of the second terminal 7 is formed by drawing a hoop material 14; a flat plate type extension part 9 is formed around the axle part 8 by blanking and bending processes; the first joint 14 cut off and isolated from the short leg 9b of the extension part 9 is provided above the leg 9b; and then the second joint 15 is provided around the axle part 8. Next, the second terminal 10 including the first and second joints 14, 15 is buried in the case 10; a substrate 1 and a sleeve 4 are inserted into the axle part 8 of the terminal 7; the end of the axle part 8 is caulked; and then the joint 14 is cut off in the final process to manufacture the title semi-fixed variable resistor.</p> |
