<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title yarn having excellent bond strength to hydrogenated nitrile rubber, by successively forming a first layer containing RFL on rubber reinforcing yarn, a second layer containing a specific component on the first layer and a third layer containing specific nitrile rubber. CONSTITUTION:A first layer containing a water-soluble condensate of RF and preferably vinylpyridine styrene butadiene terpolymer latex is formed on rubber reinforcing yarn, successively a second layer which comprises a halogen- containing polymer (e.g. chlorinated rubber or chloroprene), an isocyanate and a vulcanizing agent and inactive fine powder of carbon black or silica, etc., on the first layer and further a third layer which comprises hydrogenated nitrile rubber having 2-40 iodine value and 30-50wt.% acrylonitrile group content, a vulcanizing agent and inactive fine powder of carbon black or silica, etc., on the second layer to give rubber reinforcing yarn having slight reduction in bond strength even by long-term use under a condition of applying repeated bending strength and is suitable for reinforcing especially hydrogenated nitrile rubber.</p> |
