<p>PURPOSE:To optimize the printing of various standards for a bar code with one machine by controlling the printing of a thermal head and the extent of feed of a label by referring to a constant table classified according to the ther mal head density. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 11 preliminarily prepared for each printing density of bar code printing, a ROM 31 where a constant table 31b by density is preliminarily stored, and a driving part 13 which freely varies the extent of feed of the label in accordance with the printing density are provided. When the thermal head 11 is replaced, the thermal head density classified constant table 31b is referred to control the whole of a device with a program in the ROM 31 so that not only the replaced thermal head 11 having a printing density is most suitably driven but also the label is fed in accordance with the printing density. Thus, the thermal head is replaced to print the bar code of various standards with one printer.</p> |
